Sentinel guide
Server Monitoring in Nigeria
Find out before your customers do
Many Nigerian businesses run important websites and servers without an operations engineer watching them around the clock. The first sign of a problem can be a customer saying the site is slow, a checkout failed, or an internal tool disappeared. Sentinel gives your team a clear place to start: it watches the signals that usually explain why a service is struggling and sends a useful alert before a small issue becomes a long conversation.
What Sentinel watches
On a server, the read-only agent reports CPU and memory pressure, available disk space, running containers, open network ports and waiting operating-system updates. These signals help distinguish a busy process from a full disk, an unexpectedly exposed service or a server that needs routine maintenance. Sentinel does not read your application source code or change the machine. You decide which systems you own or are authorised to monitor.
Alerts that explain the next step
When a threshold or check needs attention, the message uses plain language: what happened, why it matters and what to look at next. Send alerts to Telegram, email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or a webhook that feeds your own workflow. That means the right people can see an event without constantly refreshing a dashboard.
A simple start
Plans are priced in naira and payments run through Paystack. You can pay by card, bank transfer or USSD. Every new account starts with a free 14-day trial, and you do not need to enter a card. Compare the plans and their monitoring limits on the pricing page. If monitoring reveals a job that needs a human, engineers can help with separately quoted work that you approve first.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sentinel a replacement for an operations engineer?
No. It gives a small team useful monitoring context and a human team can help when you need more.
Can Sentinel change my server?
The monitoring agent is read-only. It reports information and does not deploy, edit or restart anything.
Will it stay free?
Sentinel is free during early access. There is nothing to pay and no card to add. We will tell you before that changes, and you will see the price before you pay anything.
